Cold Steel was formed in January of 2005 and includes Alex
DiBaise on vocals/rhythm guitar, his twin brother Matt DiBaise
on lead guitar, Gage McClain on drums and Josh Graves on bass.
The band formed when its members were only aged 12 to 14, but
their skills were already at the level of long-time musicians. |

In
December of 2006, Cold Steel recorded their first 5-song
EP, “And It Begins”. The band returned to the studio in
late 2007 to begin work on their first full-length CD,
and wrapped production in March 2008. A national college
radio campaign saw the band on over 140 radio stations
in 42 states in support of the CD. The single "Stuck"
and its accompanying video were released, and the music
video for "Stuck" aired nationwide on Fuse on Demand and
was requested over 4,200 times during the month of
September 2008.
Now ranging in ages from 16 to 18, the band released an
EP in October 2009 with Grammy-nominated producer Tom
Tatman (Stone Sour) at the helm. Those songs are
included in Cold Steel's new CD, "First Five", to be
released worldwide on Sweetsounds/Republic Records.
On stage, Cold Steel performs with the adrenaline of
youth and the experience of over 200 live shows they've
performed. Their ability to "play it like the record" is
a major source of pride for the band. |
